Tesgüino is an indigenous beer of Mexico, made from malted corn. It is mainly consumed in Chihuahua by the Raramuri (Tarahumara), in Sonora and Chihuahua by the Makurawe (Guarijios), in Durango by Tepehuan.
The name of the rink is derived from the Nathuatl tecuini, to beat, due to its alcoholic effect. The shaman uses it hen blessing people, animals, fields or the harvest.
