Snapple
Snapple was originally built from its New York home base. Snapple was founded in 1972 by two window washing brothers-in-law, Leonard March and Hyman Golden and health food store owner, Arnold Greenburg. Snapple is named after a carbonated apple soda that was part of the original beverage line.
Snapple’s iced teas first introduced in 1987. At that time iced tea could only be prepared buy chilling hot tea or adding water it prepared mix.
But as consumer interest in carbonated beverages diminished and preference for ‘natural’ foods escalated, consumer interest in gourmet iced tea increased. And Snapple Beverage was one of the first to capitalize on.
Iced tea was selected because it was a widely accepted, almost universal summertime thirst quencher that could be produced with all natural ingredients.
Snapple iced teas were more than the traditional iced tea, incorporating a great variety of fruity and sweet flavors to make the tea palatable to an entirely new type of tea drinker.
