Technically, any liquid intended for drinking is a beverage so named by a word derived from French and Latin verbs meaning ‘to drink.’ Healthy beverages are beverages with health benefits that attribute by its nutritional value. The use of healthy beverage for promoting health and relieving symptom is as old as the practice of medicine.

Ginseng Healthy Drinks


It is the root of plant Panax ginseng, used for preparation of ginseng beverage. Ginseng is a powerful energy tonic and the most well known oriental herb. Ginseng which is known since ancient times tonifies the lungs and stomach and strengthens the spleen. It is also shown to have anti-stress capabilities.

It main action is to help the body fight off physical, chemical and biological attacks by raising the body’s own defense mechanisms.

In Chinese medicine, ginseng is considered the most important for strengthening Qi, the vital energy of which the universe is comprised. In human studies, there was a visible benefit in terms of physical and mental performance.

It was also known to reduce blood sugar levels in Type II diabetics.


Revered in Chinese medicine for thousands years to restore and maintain health, ginseng is well accepted by Europeans and American medical applications and is used worldwide.

Nowadays, ginseng tea is a common drink. Almost every drinks it. It is made by boiling fine cuttings of ginseng in water. The tea is good for all sickness and it keeps disease away.

Most of ginseng’s medicinal properties are attributed to compounds called ginsenosides.

Ginseng is one of the oldest known tonic herbs, having been in use for about 5000 years in China. It was probably first used as a food. However, there was a record shows that it was used as a medicinal purpose over 3000 years ago.

Ginseng extract have been combined with tea leaves fruit beverages, coffee, soft drinks and beer.
